The Western Dairy Regional Development Program (established in July 1997) is one of eight RDPs throughout Australia’s dairying regions and exists specifically for the benefit of WA dairy farmers. It comprises a five-member board and a project manager to administer, drive and promote the activities of the board. Western Dairy is an incorporated body responsible for allocating the way in which R & D funds are spent in the WA dairy industry. Western Dairy is charged with significant responsibility to the WA Dairy industry.
The Western Dairy board will oversee each research project and evaluate its ability to meet desired research outcomes. This responsibility commences at planning stage and follows each research project right through to extension and implementation of the resulting outcomes.
